How we build these records

Last updated: 23 September 2026

This page describes exactly how the data on this site is produced, including its limits. We would rather you know than trust us.

Where the figures come from

Every figure is taken from a page published by the authority responsible for that route — a government immigration department, ministry, or agency. We do not take figures from other immigration websites, aggregators, or forums. Each record stores the source URL, the name of the authority, and the date we read the page.

How records are built

Records are extracted from official pages using automated tools and then stored with their source and date. This is a compilation process, not a professional legal review. No part of this site is reviewed or certified by a licensed immigration adviser.

We think saying this plainly is more useful to you than implying a level of review that does not exist. What we do commit to: every figure names the page it came from, so you can check it yourself in one click.

What we mark as unknown

A missing figure is never treated as a zero, a pass, or a no. Records distinguish between:

- the authority publishes this and we have recorded it

- the authority publishes this and we have not verified it yet

- the page we read does not carry this

- we have not checked this field yet

Those four states look different on the page. "Not stated" is not the same as "not required".

How current this is

Each record carries the date we last read its source. When that date is older than 90 days, the page shows a “Needs re-check” label. The label does not fetch the official page or change the record. It is not an official expiry, and a rule can change the day after we read it.

Some figures are published for a fixed period — an annual fee table, a salary floor set for one calendar year. Where the authority names such a period, we record its end date and mark the figure once that period has passed.

Corrections

When we change a record, we store what changed and why. What the last check changed is published in our verification log. Records have been corrected for unsourced values, wrong currency conversions, and figures that contradicted the official page. Those corrections are visible rather than quietly overwritten.

What this site cannot do for you

It cannot tell you whether you will be approved. It cannot tell you which route is best for your situation. Immigration decisions belong entirely to government authorities, and the only authoritative version of any rule is the official page we link to. Read it before you rely on anything here.

CSV

The full catalogue is available as a Verified catalogue CSV, with one row per field, including its source and the date we read it.
